“When I let go of what I am,
I become what I might be.”
— Lao Tzu

Message of the Day:

Today is the bonus day of our 21-Day Meditation Experience. We are delighted to offer a special meditation on the kind of success that transcends success. That is the spiritual success that frees you from any mundane version of success. This liberation of consciousness has no limitations or definition. It is the awakened human spirit rejoicing in its own existence and freedom.  Knowing your true self is the greatest achievement you can attain. It is the success beyond all success.

CENTERING THOUGHT

I exist beyond all limitations.

SANSKRIT MANTRA

Aham Brahmasmi
I am the wholeness of life.

Day22 mts

Oprah Winfrey:

Welcome back for one more very special day of meditation.  It’s an extra day together to celebrate this experience we’ve all shared. Throughout our journey we’ve honed in on creating success by starting within, learning how to make every decision a successful one and then putting it all together to deepen our paths together.  By now, I think we’re all pretty clear that true success cannot be defined or manifested by how much money you have, your status, or anything that can be acquired.  And the truth is that while we all seek to become the best version of ourselves, we already have everything we need.  The key to success is not about doing more.  It’s about freeing the glory of your own soul.  It’s ready to be released the moment you invite it with intention and with trust Our truest selves are pure and untouched by the stories of our pasts and worries for our futures. Manifesting true success is really about shedding all that blocks you from embracing the present moment. That, My Friends, is our greatest wish for you…to not only know the true richness of your life but to live it moment to moment to moment. So let’s shed the labels that inhibit us from experiencing the pure wonder and joy of this world and allow Deepak to guide us to true success for one last day.

Deepak Chopra:

In our 21 days together, it’s been joyful for me to invite you to create your own success, whatever field it may be in.  Now let’s reflect on why anyone desires success in the first place.

If a goal is achieved, it can feel empty or fulfilled.  Acquiring more money, status, possessions and power isn’t automatically fulfilling and many people who appear to be successes in the eyes of society grieve over the emptiness of their success and experience every day the unhappy craving that makes them want even more of what didn’t fulfill them in the first place.

Being a success every day, you are saved from the loneliness of reaching the mountain top and finding it a barren place.  There is one final secret, however.  Every path to success is actually a path to freedom.  We set our sights on specific goals and yet in the world’s wisdom traditions, external success is merely an upgrade of the illusion.

The only reality free of illusion is found beyond any idea of conventional success.  It is liberation, the peace that passes understanding.  That is why so many great sages and seers have echoed the words, ‘Be in the world but not of it’.  What this means is to detach yourself from labels because all labels are limiting. As you continue to meditate, you will approach closer the unbounded awareness that lies within and which defines our true self.  The unbounded self has no labels and it resists all definitions.

In the ancient Vedic tradition of India, the enlightened or fully awakened person says, ‘I am that’, and ‘that’ is pure existence, pure awareness and absolute freedom.  Even before you reach this realization, know that this is who you are already.

No matter how much you have disconnected from your true self, it exists and cannot be harmed.  The true self is giving you unconditional support and love.  Once you know this, you have won the success that lies beyond success and nothing is more precious.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to consider our centering thought, I exist beyond all limitations Now let’s prepare for our meditation.  Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.  Become aware of your breath and breathe slowly and deeply.  With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Aham Brahmasmi.  This mantra affirms your identity and individual existence to be the same as universal existence.  In essence you are that universality. Repeat it silently to yourself, Aham Brahmasmi. With each repetition, feel your body, mind and spirit open and receive just a little more.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, return yourself to repeating the mantra, Aham Brahmasmi..Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes, Aham Brahmasmi. Just mentally, Aham Brahmasmi.

Now release the mantra.  Continue to sit restfully, inhaling and exhaling slowly.  When you feel ready, open your eyes. As you continue with your day, contemplate the centering thought
I exist beyond all limitations

“The first step toward success is taken
when you refuse to be a captive of the
environment in which you first find yourself.”
— Mark Caine

Message of the Day:

Congratulations on completing this 21-Day Meditation Experience! It’s been a delight to have you with us on this journey. We have looked at the ingredients for true success, yet there still might be a misconception that success can only come when the ideal circumstances arise. But rarely are all circumstances ideal for success. It is important to realize that success, like reality itself, is multi-dimensional, not linear. Don’t let your old limited beliefs blind you to the unexpected support that can come from any direction. Successful living needs your awareness to be creative, expansive, and receptive to all possibilities, just like creation itself. Thank you for sharing your time with us, and may your light be a blessing to the world.

CENTERING THOUGHT

I open every avenue for my success.

SANSKRIT MANTRA

Akhando Hum
I am the infinite.

Day21 mts

Oprah Winfrey:

Well we’ve arrived at 21 days completing our meditation experience.  What a journey!  We have manifested together.  Thank you all! So this is what I believe this experience has taught us.  Success comes from many sources.   Most importantly, success expands from within.  It rises up from the inside out.  When you can stay open to all the wise and powerful dimensions of yourself, you find balance and insight and trust in the unknown.  You literally expand and evolve.  With no effort you become a magnet for possibilities.  The universe conspires with you to reveal opportunities and ultimately your success.  Dreams come true in many forms.  Success arrives from many sources. What a joyful promise that is!  Receive that, embrace it and delight in it with an open heart and an open mind. So Deepak ties it all together in our final meditation.

Deepak Chopra:

Now you know the secrets of putting your success together every day and each secret is linked by one common factor…. expanding your awareness.

Constricted awareness prevents us from seeing outside our narrow boundaries. Yet, because these boundaries are self-imposed, we can lower them at any time.  The more expanded your awareness, the more open the field of all possibilities turns out to be.

It is important to be comfortable with your surroundings, feeling secure that you are in the right place for your success.  But no situation is ideal and in many cases when you look around at where you are working, what your relationships are and the demands that are being made upon you, it seems only reasonable to be dissatisfied and frustrated.  Change seems to depend on many things outside yourself while the pressure not to change is constant.  You now have the tools to direct your own transformation, achieving success as a daily reality.

I’d like to offer one more element which will reduce frustration about being blocked by outside forces and people. Success comes from every direction, yourself as a dynamic field that is multi-dimensional like reality itself.  You are an ever-expanding sphere, not a train hurtling down a track.  Being multi-dimensional, you are influenced from all directions.  Past, present and future conspire at this very moment in fact, the whole universe conspires to make this moment happen.

When you take this view of yourself, you see that when external blocks arise, we cling to the false notion that steps A, B and C must proceed in a straight line from now into the future.  Anyone or anything that blocks the railroad track stops the train.  This is a flawed and ultimately incorrect image.  Success depends on expansion and evolution, on organic growth, and deeper inside; on openness to the unknown and a desire for creativity.  None of these things can be plotted on a straight line.  There is no blueprint that works for success because the dynamic quality of life applies equally to success.

Take the attitude that solutions can come from any direction to make your intentions a reality.  This is the attitude for success because it fits exactly, and the self and reality cooperate with each other.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to consider our centering thought, I open every avenue for my success Now let’s prepare for our meditation.  Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.  Become aware of your breath and breathe slowly and deeply.  With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Akhando Hum. This mantra affirms the limitless unbounded nature of your Being.  As you repeat the mantra, feel the infinite possibilities of success in your life. Repeat it silently to yourself, Akhando Hum..With each repetition, feel your body, mind and spirit open and receive just a little more.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, return yourself to repeating the mantra, Akhando Hum. “The only unique contribution
you can offer the world is to
be who you actually are and no one else.”
— Ashly Lorenzana

Message of the Day:

In today’s meditation we learn that success is not a generic experience. The only success that is meaningful is your success. You play a unique role in the universe that no one else can play. Your spiritual path is also unique, and that is why your success will be different from anyone else’s.  Finding your uniqueness is not about feeling better than others or holding yourself apart. Uniqueness is knowing your inner truth and your intrinsic worth. It is knowing your real self, and when you do, it will guide you to your true success.

CENTERING THOUGHT

I value my uniqueness and rejoice in it.

Day20 mts

Oprah Winfrey:

Welcome back, My Friends, to Day 20 of our meditation experience.  This week has been about putting it all together and today we are finding our own unique direction on the path toward success. If there is anything I’ve learned it is that you cannot manifest your true success trying to be anyone other than who you are and were meant to be.  You remove all kinds of obstacles when you release trying to be someone that you’re not…when you allow your strengths to flourish and accept your vulnerabilities with love and kindness toward yourself. Knowing your destiny, standing in your own truth, you invite your life to unfold in ways you had never even imagined for yourself.  Take delight in your own light and celebrate others in theirs because when one shines, it means it possible for all of us to shine.  So let’s shine together as Deepak guides us even further down the road to manifesting true success.

Deepak Chopra:

Non-judgement is a valuable tool.  Judgement makes others wrong and when you direct it at yourself, judgement makes you feel constricted and separate from others.  Feeling expansive and connected to others opens the way to success.  This is the foundation for walking the path no one else has ever walked.  You are one-of-a-kind which means that your success will also be unique.

Most people are motivated by doing something totally original and personal. We all want to be recognized for our achievements but there is also an element of doubt and anxiety in this area.  Being unique implies being different, holding yourself above others or losing the acceptance that comes from conformity and fitting in. In order to overcome these inner doubts, it’s helpful to know that this isn’t a matter of either/or. You can bond with others and be accepted while still walking your own path. Realize that being yourself isn’t the same as feeling superior or letting the demands of the ego run wild.

As we’ve seen, success comes to you with the support of others.  Once you drop the habit of being judgmental, there is no longer a need to view others as obstacles to your success.  Acceptance brings the best of both worlds.  You bond with the people who support you and they in turn give you space to be who you want to be.

There is a second element here which is the downside of conformity.  Most of us conform in order to fit in. Otherwise we’d feel insecure.  Yet conformity has a tendency to make us say things we don’t really mean, to keep our reactions to ourselves and to indulge in second-hand thinking because received opinions are the course of least resistance.

To be unique means trusting in your own truth.  You don’t have to flout your opinions you have a right to privacy of thought.  Yet, only by speaking your truth can you become truly individual.  Your truth comes from your true self which is your surest guide to the success that is meant for you as a unique person.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to consider our centering thought, I value my uniqueness and rejoice in it Now let’s prepare for our meditation.  Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.  Become aware of your breath and breathe slowly and deeply.  With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Siddho Hum.  This mantra brings forth the uniqueness and perfection within you.  As you repeat the mantra, know that you are complete and perfect just as you are. This is what gives you your value and necessary place in the universe. Repeat it silently to yourself, Siddho Hum. With each repetition, feel your body, mind and spirit open and receive just a little more.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, simply return yourself to repeating the mantra, Siddho Hum. Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes, Siddo Hum. Just mentally, Siddo Hum.

Now release the mantra.  Continue to sit restfully, inhaling and exhaling slowly.  When you feel ready, open your eyes. As you continue with your day, contemplate the centering thought.

“If we listened to our intellect,
we’d never have a love affair…
or go into business.
You’ve got to jump off cliffs and
build your wings on the way down.”
— Annie Dillard

Message of the Day:

Today’s meditation is about learning to let go of negative judgment about others and yourself. When we judge, we are resisting life and blocking the flow of existence. It’s not that we need to pretend there aren’t problems, difficult people, and flaws within our personalities. There certainly are. But if we learn to focus our attention on the positive features that are emerging, then we will be encouraging that unfolding potential, instead of giving more attention to the imperfections and strengthening them. Being non-judgmental means being your truest self, following your unique path in life while cooperating and working in harmony with the universe. This is the aim of today’s meditation.

CENTERING THOUGHT

I find my success without judging others or myself.

SANSKRIT MANTRA

Karuna Hum
I open my consciousness to universal compassion.

Day19 mts

Oprah Winfrey:

Yesterday we explored letting go, discovering the liberation and success you find in trusting with openness and faith.  Now we take the power of letting go to a whole new level.  We are focusing on one of the biggest obstacles to success….we’re letting go of judgment.  Welcome to Day 19. Judgement simply put is fear and being right by making others wrong perpetuates a negative cycle that blocks your energy and true potential.  It tears you down and hinders your success.  It depletes you and everybody around you. Acceptance, on the other hand is love, it’s nurturing, it feeds you.  Having compassion for yourself and other people without criticism or judgement creates a space for more blessings, more abundance and more success.  Let your heart feel the connection we are all meant to share.  You will strengthen yourself, you will build bonds with others and sow the seeds of real meaningful growth. Is that success?  I certainly think so and so does Deepak.  So let’s share in his wisdom and then we will all meditate.”

Deepak Chopra:

We now know that success comes to you naturally when you no longer put up resistance but have an open attitude.  This leads to the issue of judgement.

As a form of defense, many people divert attention from themselves by criticizing others while deep down they feel harshly judgmental about themselves.  Every time you judge yourself, you are blocking your inner potential.  Self judgement is the most limiting factor when people fail to fulfil their dreams. Judgement of others make people wary of you and less willing to be your ally on the path to success.

Since we are defining success as a living reality here and now, judgement stops today once you no longer feel the need to make others wrong.  To do that, you must stop making yourself wrong.  Nobody is perfect. Instead of focusing on your flaws, stop thinking of perfection versus imperfection.  Instead keep your vision focused on your unfolding potential.  What you’re good at is getting better, what you’re weak at can be corrected, improved and helped along by others.

When we see that you’re a single cell in the body of the cosmos, it comes naturally to cooperate and act for the benefit of the whole just as the whole acts for your benefit.  Heart cells don’t judge liver cells.  Despite their differences, ever cell harmonizes its interests with the overall well-being of the body.  In your own life, differences with others don’t have to lead to ‘us-versus-them’ or ‘me-against-the-world mentally.

Once you intend to drop the habit of judging, bonds of cooperation can be formed, giving you a support network beyond your ability to do everything yourself.  At the same time, not judging relieves you of the constant need to compare yourself to other people.  There is no need for negative comparison because your path is unique.  No one ever achieves success through limitation.  The secret is to be yourself with the intent of presenting your best self in every situation.  Your best self, at the deepest level is timeless, embedded in the infinite field of consciousness.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to consider our centering thought, I find my success without judging others or myself Now let’s prepare for our meditation.  Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.  Become aware of your breath and breathe slowly and deeply.  With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Karuna Hum.  This mantra helps cultivate compassion and acceptance for yourself and others without criticism or judgement.  As you repeat the mantra, let your heart feel the connection and unity you feel with all. Repeat it silently to yourself, Karuna Hum. With each repetition, feel your body, mind and spirit open and receive just a little more.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, simply return yourself to repeating the mantra, Karuna Hum. “Trust your own instinct.
Your mistakes might as well be your own,
instead of someone else’s.”
— Billy Wilder

Message of the Day:

In today’s meditation we look more closely at what to do when we don’t yet have full trust that the universe is organizing our success. If we don’t feel that trust and flow with the unseen forces that are guiding our way, then we try to control the people and events around us. We create resistance and rigidity. To address this, we will experiment with non-resistance. Practicing non-resistance means we allow people to be who they are; we limit our criticisms and judgments. We permit them the same freedom to act that we expect for ourselves. Non-resistance is about learning to be an appreciative, compassionate observer. You are letting higher consciousness do the main work while adding your own contribution. Our meditation today helps to open our awareness to this cosmic flow of life within, releasing resistance and control.

CENTERING THOUGHT

I always intend to be in the flow.

SANSKRIT MANTRA

Om Durgayay Namah

Day18 mts

Oprah Winfrey:

Today we expand our hearts and minds even further, allowing success to come to us, expansively and effortlessly by letting go of resistance.  That can happen, I promise and I can promise it because it is natural law.  Welcome to Day 18, Success Meets No Resistance. This is a lovely day, Friends, so experiment, if you will, by letting go in all areas of your life.  Let go of judgement, release your fear.  Let go of trying to control outcomes.  We often think holding on makes you stronger but the truth is, letting go is what makes you stronger.  Letting go, releasing any resistance, allows us to restore our inner peace and balance.  It invites a new sense of discovery and possibility.  It releases us from any perceived obstacles and struggles that are in our way.  Greater forces are at work on your behalf.  Let go, surrender to the divine flow of your life.  Trust and know that all will be well because all already is well.  So, take a deep breath as Deepak guides us in today’s meditation.

Deepak Chopra:

Daily events flow in the right sequence even when you can’t predict what is going to happen next.  You trust in this flow because you realize that you’re living from your own creative source.  When there is an absence of trust, however, we put up resistance.  We try to exert control over things and people around us. The state of resistance generally fails and even when it seems to succeed, your approach to life becomes rigid and constricted.

Trust is an expanded state of awareness and you will find yourself putting up less resistance as you continue to meditate and allow your awareness to expand.  To aid in the process, approach your day by experimenting with nonresistance.  This means, first of all, exerting less control.  Let other people have more freedom without input from you.  When you give input, avoid being critical and judgmental. Remember that everyone is doing the best they can from their own level of consciousness.  Your role is to be aware, alert and appreciative whenever possible.

Secondly, learn to stand back and observe.  This is an effortless form of mindfulness where you open yourself to letting impressions flow in without resistance.  Be patient with how situations unfold.  Don’t push for the exact short term outcome you think is necessary.  You’re only one part of a dynamic scheme that is being guided by an infinite intelligence.  You add your own aspect of intelligence and that is vital to your success, but take the attitude that there are larger forces at work that understand what you want and where you are going.

By adopting small acts of nonresistance, you are allowing the power of your higher consciousness to work on your behalf, bringing you new opportunities and creative possibilities.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to consider our centering thought I always intend to be in the flow Now let’s prepare for our meditation.  Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.  Become aware of your breath and breathe slowly and deeply.  With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Om Durgayay Namah.   This mantra develops a sense of trust and ease with the flow of your life.  As you repeat the mantra, feel your constriction and resistance melt away.   Repeat it silently to yourself, Om Durgayay Namah. “If you put yourself in a situation of unpredictability
and then find that it’s completely possible to accept it,
then you become an observer.”
— David Tudor

Message of the Day:

Today we look at unpredictability in a new light. Typically we find unpredictability stress-inducing because it forces us to move out of our comfort zones of expectations, beliefs, and hopes. A change in plans from what we hoped for is often felt as a disappointment or failure. But if we can see beyond the apparent randomness of life and recognize that a larger purpose is always being served, then we can relax and welcome unpredictability, and observe how we can redirect our efforts to contribute to the bigger picture that is unfolding. Our meditation today opens our awareness to this grand purpose of the evolving universe and its infinite creative possibilities.

CENTERING THOUGHT

I turn unpredictability into a creative possibility

SANSKRIT MANTRA

Om Purnamidam
I invoke the fullness of universal Being

Day17 mts

Oprah Winfrey:

Yesterday we explored how our minds and bodies work in harmony to support a natural flow toward success.  Today we’re ready to shift into another dimension of trusting in the evolution of our own success. Welcome to Day 17, Taking Advantage of Unpredictability. On the surface, I think a lot of people fear uncertainty – most people do.  We withdraw, we seek safety in what is familiar, whether that familiarity is working for us or not.  When you’re able to go within and tap into the reserve of trust and openness that your body and mind have stored for you, you can start to welcome new possibilities and new profound successes. How do we turn fear of unpredictability into a welcome embrace?  Well, as Joseph Campbell said, ‘Fear, uncertainty and discomfort are your compasses toward growth’.  ‘We must let go of the life we have planned so as to accept the life that is waiting for us.’  Wow!  Those are beautiful words.  It is in that magical shift from fearing the uncertain to welcoming it with openness that you create a space for fulfillment.  You are the creator of your success.  Deepak takes us there step-by-step so let’s go, and then we’ll meditate.

Deepak Chopra:

Bringing body and mind into harmony is an important process that can happen naturally and without struggle.  Your body thrives in a state of complete balance governing trillions of cells.  One thing this teaches is the value of unpredictability.  Every moment contains an element of unpredictability.  Your heart can’t predict how active you will be 5 minutes or even 5 seconds from now and yet it is prepared for any change that comes it’s way.  Your stomach can’t predict what food is coming its way, just as your lungs can’t anticipate the quality of air you’re going to breathe.

There is an amazing flexibility built into the mind-body system and yet at the mental level, most people fear and resist the unpredicted.  They find it stressful to be thrown into new situations or asked to have new thoughts, beliefs and expectations.  Success depends on turning your resistance to the unknown and unpredictable into a more open welcoming attitude.  After all, a creative life uses the unpredictable as its creative source.

Every present moment is different from the moment that preceded it and you must be open to allow change in yourself.  How do we turn fear of unpredictability into a welcoming attitude?  By seeing that an unpredictable event isn’t the same as a random event.  Imagine a painter working at his canvas.  If you took a close-up video of his paint brush it would seem to dip at random into each color then place the next brush stroke in a disorderly way onto the canvas.  But in reality, this seeming randomness serves a larger purpose, a beautiful coherent picture is being created.  What this means is that unpredictable events can serve a creative end.  This is also why creative people often seem to do nothing when, in fact, they’re allowing the unconscious mind to just take the next idea or project. They trust the silent inner working of the mind without demanding that it must follow a pre-set plan.  Let this be your attitude too.

Learn to relax, stand back and let the larger purpose unfold.  Trust that hidden forces are always at work in your awareness and by taking and accepting calm attitude to them, you’re allowing your future to unfold as it is meant to unfold.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to consider our centering thought, I turn unpredictability into a creative possibility Now let’s prepare for our meditation.  Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.  Become aware of your breath and breathe slowly and deeply.  With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Om Purnamidam.  This mantra opens your awareness to the infinite possibilities of life.  As you repeat the mantra, feel the limitless potential of your consciousness. Repeat it silently to yourself, Om Purnamidam. With each repetition, feel your body, mind and spirit open and receive just a little more.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, return yourself to repeating the mantra, Om Purnamidam. Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes. Om Purnamidam. Just mentally Om Purnamidam.

Now release the mantra.  Continue to sit restfully, inhaling and exhaling slowly.  When you feel ready, open your eyes. As you continue with your day, contemplate the centering thought
I turn unpredictability into a creative possibility

Journal Entries:

  • Unpredictability is recognition of the limitations of our conscious awareness, and we make friends with it by relying on our unlimited, unbounded awareness. Write about an experience in which the relaxed and open awareness after meditation allowed you to be more comfortable with an unpredictable situation.
  • Many people fear what is unpredictable because it feels uncontrollable. Write about something unpredictable that is a source of fear for you. Now reframe that fear as merely an unknowable future and see it as an opportunity for a creative response.
  • Now expand this vision by writing down how this fear serves your evolution as something that fits into and is an essential part of your larger life plan.

“To keep the body in good health is a duty,
otherwise we shall not be able to keep
our mind strong and clear.”
— Buddha

Message of the Day:

Today’s meditation is about synchronizing the body and mind. When the body is fully interconnected with the mind through the brain, it can serve as a reliable foundation for every aspect of our success. To do this, the body has two basic needs: balance and biorhythms. The body maintains balance, or homeostasis, through feedback mechanisms – physical, mental, and emotional. The other requirement for the body is setting its functioning in harmony with its natural biorhythms. Irregular eating and sleeping habits, for example, can throw off our hormones and affect our moods and mental acuity. Our meditation today will strengthen this mind-body connection to create balance and help our bodies sync with the biorhythms of Nature.

CENTERING THOUGHT

I let body and mind act in harmony.

SANSKRIT MANTRA

Om Ram Ramaya
Perfect balance energizes my body.

Day16 mts

Oprah Winfrey:

Yesterday Deepak guided us into an awareness of how our bodies flow in a seamless natural order with no effort or struggle.  Today we create that same ease and flow within our minds.  Welcome to Day 16, Synchronizing Body and Mind.  As Deepak will show us, your emotions can influence how your feels just as your body can influence your emotions. When faced with challenges, it’s easy to feel stressed or off-balance in your mind and your body.  What I know for sure is the only way to endure the quake is to adjust your stance.  You can’t avoid the daily tremors that come with just being alive.  These experiences, even though we often cannot see it, are really gifts that nudge us to step to the right or left in search of a new center of gravity.  Find your stance.  Allow your mind and body to work together nudging you to that center because they naturally want to flow in positive perfect harmony.  That is the basis of every success in life.  Deepak shares how that happens within each of us so let’s listen with our mind and our body and then we’ll meditate.

Deepak Chopra:

Your mind is naturally tied to your body through the brain.  The two sides of the mind-body connection are partners.  Once you allow it, your body can be a trusted foundation for everything you need to think about and do.  Your body has two measure requirements.  The first is balance, the second is natural bio-rhythms.  Balance, known medically, as homeostasis, is a flexible state.  It allows you to respond to energy demands of any situation in the moment and afterward to return to a resting state.

Mind and body create balance together.  Your cells receive messages from your brain about moods, the rise and fall of emotions, your thinking process and your state of stress.  These cannot be separated as purely mental events.  Sadness and happiness lead to a totally different bodily response.  A stressful moment is a mind-body event.  To keep in balance means you expect to be alert and active any time you need to be while respecting your body’s need to return to a resting state free of stress.

This brings us to the body’s second requirement, natural bio-rhythms.  The hectic pace of modern life fights against nature’s rhythms which in turn throws off our bio-rhythms yet we cannot bypass or ignore the very rhythms that keep the body intact and smoothly functioning.

Missing a good night’s sleep, however, brings consequences to your hormonal system which in turn can lead to negative moods, excessive appetite and inflammation.  The biggest enemy of homeostasis.  Sleep is the most important bio-rhythm.  The natural rise and fall of your metabolism during the day is another. To respect it, follow regular routine.

  • Eat at the same time every day and don’t skip meals.
  • Give your body a chance to move around at least once an hour.
  • Don’t sit and focus for long stretches without a break for relaxing and mind-body system rebalance.

Keep in mind that you are a part of nature’s infinite harmony and that the harmony of mind and body serves as the foundation for everything you will accomplish.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to consider our centering thought, I let body and mind act in harmony

Now let’s prepare for our meditation.  Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.  Become aware of your breath and breathe slowly and deeply.  With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Om Ram Ramaya.  This mantra brings strength and energy into the body and the mind.  As you repeat the mantra, see your mind-body system become filled with revitalizing light. Repeat it silently to yourself, Om Ram Ramaya. With each repetition, feel your body, mind and spirit open and receive just a little more.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, simply return yourself to repeating the mantra, Om Ram Ramaya. Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes. Om Ram Ramaya. Just mentally Om Ram Ramaya.

Now release the mantra.  Continue to sit restfully, inhaling and exhaling slowly.  When you feel ready, open your eyes. As you continue with your day, contemplate the centering thought
I let body and mind act in harmony

Journal Entries:

  • For your mind and body to work together to create balance, the mind must be responsive and the body must be adaptable enough to return to a resting state. Recall a time when you had to respond to a stressful situation, and your mind and body worked together to quickly bring you back into balance.
  • Bio-rhythms are Nature’s patterns of motion that keep the body functioning smoothly. Since disruption of our bio-rhythms is typically due to the mind, not the body, what mental choices can you make that will support your body’s biorhythms?
  • Since sleep is our most important bio-rhythm, what three things can you do to ensure you get a full and deep sleep every night?

“The first step to success is getting out of your own way.”
— Steven Stromick

Message of the Day:

Welcome to Week Three of Manifesting True Success. This week we will take the material we have been learning and put it all together so that success becomes second nature. We begin today with a meditation that connects us to the infinite organizing power of Nature. Often our days can become a chaotic series of tasks, events, and problems to deal with. Life is dynamic and ever-changing, and we can’t stop that. But to be a success, your day must be a success. That seemingly chaotic activity must begin to flow with a kind of ease and grace beneath it. This orderly flow happens from within, from the self-organizing power of our awareness. This is the same intelligence that governs all the diverse activity of the universe. As we tap into that inner power, it will automatically coordinate and harmonize the events of our day into a success.

 CENTERING THOUGHT

I use the organizing power of my awareness.

SANSKRIT MANTRA

Shree Gum Namah
I open my awareness to unlimited possibilities.

Day15 mts

Oprah Winfrey:

Here we are, beginning week 3 of our meditation experience.   Deepak and I are so grateful to be on this uplifting journey with you.  How far we’ve come.  Together, we have discovered how success can be a living reality rather than this distant goal.  We’ve begun a path of fulfillment that can serve us in every area of our lives.  Now, in week 3, we will bring it all together so that success becomes as effortless and natural daily for you as possible.  How?  Well today let’s begin to see yourself as the center of an intelligent dynamic and perfectly balanced natural order.  Think about that!  Just as nature flows in a miraculous pattern that we really can’t explain or understand at all, so do we.  As you relax into this awareness and stay centered there, releasing any resistance, the miracles of your own natural order will start to show up.  Let your consciousness orchestrate the flow.  So let’s sit, get still, breathe into Deepak’s teaching and then we’ll meditate.

Deepak Chopra:

To be a success your day must be successful.  In a typical day, we all face overlapping demands on our attention between work and family, texting and emails, duties and chores.  Everything can pile up in a jumble.  This leads to frustration and you can run out of time before you’ve handled the most important demands as well as you want.

Success requires making order out of chaos.  There are ways to organize your day as efficiently as possible. The real secret is to be orderly and organized on the inside.  Order can be fixed or rigid.   Life is dynamic and what you need is the ability to meet each challenge as it arises without overlaps and multi-tasking. The idea is simple.  As each demand on your attention arrives, you focus on it, make a decision and have confidence in what you’ve decided.  We’ve covered the most important part already, making sure that your choices are smart ones.

But how can you arrange your day so that there is a flow of events, each one allowed time to be carefully considered.  You can’t control your day in every detail and you don’t have to.  Consciousness has organizing power.  As you go deeper into your own awareness, outer events begin to organize themselves. There is no longer a jumble of events but a flow that carries you along.

Nature gives us a clue to its infinite organizing power in the way our bodies perfectly handle thousands of cellular processes every second without flaws or accidents.  You are embedded in the same field of consciousness as your cells.

Today, begin to see yourself at the center of a dynamic flow of everything you need to do.  Approach your day calmly with an expectation of success.

  • Don’t focus on disorder or struggle.
  • Be confident that everything can be handled well by letting consciousness do it for you.
  • Don’t resist and don’t focus on resistances from others.

You are the author of your own story.  Starting today, you can build the confidence and security of knowing your true order in the infinite field of all possibilities.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to consider our centering thought,
I use the organizing power of my awareness

Now let’s prepare for our meditation.  Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.  Become aware of your breath and breathe slowly and deeply.  With each breath, allow yourself to become more deeply relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Shree Gum Namah.  This mantra integrates your awareness with the intricate organizing power of nature.  As you repeat the mantra, feel your consciousness expand into the supportive matrix of existence.    Repeat it silently to yourself, Shree Gum Namah. With each repetition, feel your body, mind and spirit open and receive just a little more.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or physical sensations, simply return yourself to repeating the mantra, Shree Gum Namah. Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes Shree Gum Namah. Just mentally Shree Gum Namah.

Now release the mantra.  Continue to sit restfully, inhaling and exhaling slowly.  When you feel ready, open your eyes. As you continue with your day, contemplate the centering thought
I use the organizing power of my awareness

Namaste

Journal Entries:

  • Reflect on your old strategy for organizing your life: trying to control every detail, multitasking three or four activities at the same time, and using willpower and emotional intensity to impose order. Was that a successful strategy that achieved long term results? Did you gain support from others? Did it allow you to feel relaxed and satisfied afterward?
  • For awareness to organize your daily activities, it must be centered, calm, and alert. When your awareness is agitated, upset, or tired, your day will not be successful. Write about the events of two different days that represent those opposite states of awareness.
  • The organizing power of consciousness creates a natural flow to the events of your day. Describe a time when you felt well-connected to your source, and everything flowed smoothly the entire day.

Thought Provoking: What If Christ was not crucified?

( , , )( , , ) 💖 💛  WHAT IF… ?  💛 💖
¯**´¯**´¯
What would the world have been like if …
CHRIST WAS NOT CRUCIFIED ?

Firstly, I want to make it clear that in no way is my intention to disrespect any beliefs. I am writing this simply because I had a dream last night about “Free Choice” that I want to share just as if I am writing in my own “journal”.

I dreampt that when asked by Pontius Pilate “Which prisoner do you want to set free: Jesus or Barabbas?”, the crowd gathered at the time chose “Jesus to be set free”. And so He was and He lived to a ripe old age giving us so many more of His teachings, which we understood and lived by as ONE.

image

This is the dream I had and I woke up with the thought “What would the world have been like if Jesus was not crucified ?”

At that time Jews were persecuted by Romans, so the people at the time when asked whether they should set free Jesus, the man who they believed preached against their religious beliefs and advised them to love their enemy… or Barabbas, the zealot who wanted to set them free from Roman bondage and suffering … the choice I guess was simple to make at the time.

‘Their’ pain and fear blocked ‘them’ from truly understanding the “Spiritual Freedom” that Jesus was offering, they were not evolved to that understanding.  Instead they chose “physical earthly freedom” from their reality at the time, freedom from bondage by other men from another nation… which ironically ‘they’ never got…because that was not authenitic everlasting freedom then, as it is still not now either.

It is dogmatic belief that we are given “FREE CHOICE”…so ‘we’, the people of the time, chose the trajectory of humankind with that “One Free Choice”… as we do with each and every choice we make.  But what if ‘we’ had really  understood and heeded the Wisdom of Jesus ….Love one another…Forgive one another…Live in Peace with one another…We are all Children of the Divine…

What is Christianity was not founded on blood, suffering, death, separation, division…but instead was founded on Love, Forgiveness, Peace, Unity, Equality…?

If Jesus was not crucified, the Christian Church dogma would not have been as it is since Christianity would not have been build on blood and death. Maybe then Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity …all religions would have fused and we could all live as ONE?  Maybe if Jesus was around longer we would have listened and understood His wisdom in a different way…maybe in the way John Lennon understood it when he wrote “Imagine” …. just maybe?

If this choice was asked of us today, what would we have chosen? Would we set Jesus free from that violent death and give Him more life with “us” on earth and a more dignified natural death?  What would Jesus have chosen if “we” did not make that “Free Choice” that He was denied?

And actually are we not given that choice all over again each and every day since…to Save another instead of to Kill another? To Love another instead of to Hate another?
